Sorola Energy Ltd are asking local businesses not to neglect simple measures that are still seen regularly.

At Sorola Energy, we’re committed to ensuring our customers are getting the best energy tariffs available. Our director, Rebecca Winn recently appeared in unLTD Business to offer advice to local businesses on the steps that can be taken to control or reduce their energy costs.

“Prices for gas have increased by more than 300% which in turn forces up the cost of electricity. A cold winter put pressure on supplies and the amount of gas stored and there has been an increase in demand from Asia. The Ukraine crisis has seen further volatility in the energy market.  The energy price rise is not just a UK wide issue but one that is global.”

Sorola Energy reminds their clients and local businesses about the steps that can be taken to control or reduce commercial energy costs. “Make sure lighting and equipment in rooms that aren’t occupied are switched off.

“Switch lighting to LED equivalents. Older style, florescent tube lighting can consume 60% more energy than LED bulbs so upgrading your fittings and fixtures can have a significant impact.

“Review your current energy bill to see if you are on the best tariff available. Costs are higher but you may not be getting the best value already. Talk to us if you aren’t sure, we are happy to advise.”

“There’s a lot of bad news around but businesses don’t need to blindly accept increased costs,” says Rebecca. “If there is anything that can help create a positive impact on your cash-flow, we would love to help.”
